Amidst concerns of public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, LEVEL UP KL is bringing its latest business edition LEVEL UP SPACEBAR online. It will be taking centre-stage as a free-for-all business development program, organised by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) alongside a games community event, LEVEL UP PLAY-ONE for the public.
LEVEL UP SPACEBAR is the 1st online edition of the Business Connection Programme (BCP), featuring 1-on-1 business meetings to connect the international business game industry to Malaysian game companies. The event comprises of two (2) components.
The first component is 1-on-1 business meetings held in a speed networking format, with 30 minutes meeting slots prescheduled via an online meeting platform. All registered business attendees will be available on this business platform to connect during their session via video conferencing tools embedded on the online platform.
The second, a business conference will be a sharing session featuring 5 to 6-panel sessions of industry leaders and influencers, revolving around the topic of overcoming business obstacles under the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar allows attendees to interact with the panels on the topic they are delivering.
Last but not least, LEVEL UP PLAY-ONE, a celebration of games event for the game enthusiasts and the general public will be taking place before LEVEL UP SPACEBAR on the 13th and 14th of June 2020. The latest games created by Malaysian studios will be showcased during these two days, where the public can download, play the game, share it with social media and stand a chance to win an exclusive gift. The Malaysian made games will be the feature for online tournaments as well, where prize pools of cash can be won.
Not to forget the most anticipated largest game developers conference in Southeast Asia, the annual LEVEL UP KL 2020 will still be held on 30th September to 4th October 2020 via the online edition. Following the success of last year’s event – which brought in an estimated crowd of 20,000 – this event is too organised by MDEC. Big international names from Sony Interactive Entertainment, Cygames,Inc, Larian Studios, Bandai Namco and local game companies took the floor as well.
